Took the cash all day long

I reckon most would've cashed out before it reached five figures.

Fair play to him.

Sven Roeder 9:31 Tue Mar 8
Re: This leicester bet
I suppose its laying it off but could he have cashed out £25 of the bet for £36,000 and let the other £25 ride for £125,000?
I might have done that.
Then again I wouldn't have put £50 on Leicester to start with.

ps What are our odds to win the Champions League next season?

I think Man City still have a chance, purely based on the fact I have money on @ 6/1

Marston Hammer 9:36 Tue Mar 8
Re: This leicester bet
I keep thinking City are gonna come good and go on a run, running out of time though

Re: This leicester bet
I think Leicester would have to lose 4 of their remaining games for City to win. I think people need to start looking at the side Leicester actually are, and not what they were.

All I can see is a 2 horse race personally.

Still, it's a funny ol' game!

I'd have taken it.

Life changing money for most, and 0 is the cruelest round number of all.

Marston Hammer 9:39 Tue Mar 8
Re: This leicester bet
Wouldn't it have been -50?

That's a far crueller number.

Re: This leicester bet
Trevor B .... the quick answer : "Making your own Luck"

By taking chances when the oppurtunity presents itself ...

Especially when the opposition has been equal to or Superior in any given match-up

You could use our win over Everton as an example.... the stats favoured us .... but lets
not kid ourselves we were 2nd best for 75minutes..

Re: This leicester bet
think I would of cashed out about £50,000 and then let a 3rd of the stake roll on for another £80,000 ish

I never understood the phrase 'over the moon'

Does it actually mean you're over the moon? I think only astronauts should be able to say it.

One McAvennieeeeee 9:42 Tue Mar 8
Re: This leicester bet
You've got to be a bit fucking mental to back Leicester City with 50 quid to win the Premier League anyway?

Ridiculous bet really. I wouldn't imagine he's the sort of person who's short of cash.

Trevor B 9:43 Tue Mar 8

dazz

that isn't making your own luck though is it? that is taking advantage of any luck that comes your way.

by the mere definition of luck you cannot make it: success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one's own actions.

Re: This leicester bet

That might be what you'd do now, what would you have done a month ago if you'd been offered 30k?

Fair play to the bloke for holding out this long, far bigger balls than most on here would like to admit.

Grumpster 9:47 Tue Mar 8
Re: This leicester bet
I think his main reasoning anyway was that he actually goes to all of their games and was struggling to enjoy them due to the bet hanging over his head.

As a fan he wants to savour their best ever season other than shitting himself every game.

Trevor B

The difference :

it's all about having the right Personel to do so

Exactly why the usaual suspects Mun utd, Liv,
Chelsea and Man city have been there year in year out....

Which is exacly why we are also a Good team
this season ... and long may it continue.

Some of these have been switched etc but Arsenal apart from Man City have the easiest run in Tottenham have a tough April and Leicesters last 3 fixtures is where they will fall over.

Assume he didn't have the bet with them, as it is a no brainer to leave some of the bet on.
